Seasonal ranges of adult female Tomgat Mountain Caribou, 1988-1997. Fiord (Figure 3). In addition, one animal resided in the drainage of Okak Bay at least during the latter part of this period. Post-calving aggregations occurred along the eastern drainage of the Tomgat Mountains, an area also frequented by George River Caribou during this time (Figure 3). The aggregate distribution of Tomgat Mountain Caribou was more expansive during summer, consistent with the high rates of movement during this time of year. Areas of fall and wintering activity were variable (Figure 3). In addition to eastern Ungava Bay, study animals occasionally overwintered near Hebron Fiord or Okak Bay along the Labrador coast, or along the southern portion of Ungava Bay near Ungava Bay 31 Dec 1993.
