William McCoy and HisDescendants SECOND GENERATION (i) WILLIAM McCOY, born in Sutherlandshire, on theestate of the Earl of Angus, in Scotland, about 1730. Married to Jean , about 1752, and after the birth of most, if not all, of their children, emigrated with his family to America in1772, and settled on the east shore of Maryland. He probablymoved with his family and some other relatives to the Wy-oming Valley, Pennsylvania. He may have died, however, inMaryland. Nothing is known definitely of the death of hiswife, Jean. Rev. Theo. W. McCoy, who had made a thoroughexamination of all traditions obtainable, says ancestor Williamlies buried at Ruddles Mills Cemetery, Bourbon Co., Ky., atthe confluence of Stoner and Hingston Creeks.
