This is a novelty of the firstjfrank and the most recommendable sort of the wholf& variety of Lettuce. The curly edged leaves are very smooth and tender, of a bright green reddish tint, and have small indents which are continually filled with jdew-drops, thus keep- ing the leaves always fresh. When seen in the sunshine, tiruly this lettuce seems to be covered with small pearls df ice. Hence the name *' Ice Lettuce " was given to it. / It grows very quickly, and in all respects must~^9mnarend itself to those who try it. Per pkt., 10 cts.; oz., 25 cts. FORCING LETTUCE. "GOLDEN ; A very desirable small, early variety, of a most pleasing golden yellow color, it forms all solid heads, with little or no waste, so that there is really more to it than in many Lettuces double the size. It is very crisp, tender and juicy, and of particularly deli- cate flavor, resembling in its tender quality the Boston Market Lettuce when that variety is forced with arti- ficial heat under glass.
