This photograph shows two types of Italian bombers used during World War One. The top aircraft is a Caproni 3 night bomber, with a wing spread of 72 ft. 10 in. Powered by three Isotta Fraschini 180 IP engines, it could fly for 4 hours and 15 minutes and carry 1,760 lbs. of bombs. The lower aircraft is a Caproni 5 day and night bomber, with a wing spread of 76 ft. 10 in. It had two Fiat 290 HP engines, a top speed of 84 miles per hour, and a bomb capacity of 880 lbs. The crew size for both models was three.
