Old newspapers and magazines are scattered about SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND STEP INSIDE the working men?s club that is the setting for the most iconic striptease scene for The Full Monty (1997) film about a group of sacked steelworkers who reinvent themselves as male strippers. Images show the setting of the famous striptease now gathering dust but the Home of The Full Monty sign is still proudly displayed on the building. These images were captured by urban explorer Kyle Urbex, from Leeds, UK. Kyle captured the Shiregreen Working Mens Club in Sheffield England on his Huawei P40 Pro. Shiregreen Working Mens Club in Sheffield is a former social club in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield. It is situated on Shiregreen Lane. The working men's club opened its doors just over 100 years ago and was a local for many of the community from all areas of the city of Sheffield. However it is the star of the iconic British film The Full Monty. The Full Monty filmed in 1997 saw six unemployed steel workers come up with the plan to form a local striptease group in an attempt to transform their fortunes. The film stars actors such as Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Paul Barber, Tom Wilkinson and Hugo Speer. The group of six men had come up with the plan that they were going to go all the way and do The Full Monty, filmed on the stage at Shiregreen Working Men Club in one of the most historical scenes in British film history and became a household name for the people of Sheffield. The words on the front sign still read, "The Home Of The Full Monty," and sadly the club closed its doors for good in 2019 after struggling financially. Plans were made to demolish the building, but former barmaid Ann Bentley and her husband Roy who ran it during filming and for 15 years started a petition to get the plan to demolish the club rejected.
