Martin Jennings' bronze statue of John Betjeman, St Pancras Station

Martin Jennings' bronze statue of John Betjeman, gazing in apparent wonder at the Barlow roof, St Pancras station, recognises his successful campaign to save the station in the 20th century. It was unveiled Monday November 12 2007 by the poet's daughter, Candida Lycett Green and Poet Laureate Andrew Motion. Around the base is written "Here where the cliffs alone prevail. I stand exultant, neutral, free,/ And from the cushion of the gale. Behold a huge consoling sea."
