5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (July 14, 2017) Naval Air Crewman Helicopter 3rd Class Robert Marsh hoists Naval Air Crewman 2nd Class Ruslan Garver into an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter assigned to the Chargers of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26 during search and rescue drills with the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5). The ship and its ready group are deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
