A small pen-light cell isused to power the transistorand it is supported by solder-ing the plus terminal of thecell to the tie-bolt of theswitch assembly. The negativeor case side of the cell is notsupported and the lead to it issoldered to the bottom of thecell. Plug-in coils for the unitare wound on Amphenol min-iature plug-in coil forms whichrequire a special socket (Am-phenol 78-S5S). The range ofthe coils in this set covers 1700kc. to 120 Mc.
