See Figure 2 parts 1, 2^ In normalcondition the ground spring should not be in contact with groundpost, as ground post is connected directly to release springsand line connections would be released if receiver hook was pulleddown when line was in use. In normal position the ground springis held away from ground post by lever lock. See Figure 2 part function of the upper arm of normal stop is to lift lever lockaway and allow ground spring to engage ground post. To do thisa small pin in end of upper arm of normal stop pushes lever armup, and then ground spring due to its own tension presses onground post.
