The Wolcott housepassed through various hands, and has recently been addedto and modernized by Its present owner, Miss Alice Wolcottof New York. The Belden house next below on Southstreet, was built by Reynold Marvin, kings attorney in thetime of George III. The house was enlarged by PhineasBradley and later occupied by the Hon. Gideon H. Holllster,historian of Connecticut and later minister to Hayti underthe Johnson administration. It Is now owned by the grand-children of Mrs. H. B. Belden, who bought the house fromMr. Holllster. Directly opposite the Wolcott house is the Reeve-Wood-ruff house, one of the most interesting in town on account ofits connection with the first law school in the United Reeve, a graduate of the college of New Jersey, nowPrinceton, married Sally Burr, a sister
