EYE SURGERY
Microkératome. Appareil qui s'apparente à un rabot de très haute précision, utilisé pour la découpe chirurgicale de la cornée avant l'abrasion du centre du stroma cornéen à l'aide d'un laser afin de corriger la myopie. La lamelle de cornée est ensuite repositionnée sans suture sur la zone traitée. Le même principe est appliqué pour l'hypermétropie (c'est alors la périphérie du stroma qui est traitée et non pas le centre). Reportage à l'hôpital des Quinze Vingt.
