Con- taining a greater amount of saccharine, cattle will eat it up much cleaner than some of the larger growing varieties. Has been known to j'ield fifty tons to the acre. The seed crop always commands a ready market. An excellent substi- tute for Buckwheat. The flour made from Kaffir Corn is now being used for cooking purposes; cakes made from the flour are equal to Buck- wheat cakes. Plant is stocky and erect in form and stock eat it as well as Corn. 50 lbs. to the bushel; broadcast for fodder, one bushel to the acre. Use two quarts when planted in hills. KaHir Coru, Wbite—White Kaffir Corn is without doubt the best all purpose variety, being superior for manufacturing purposes and equally as good for feed. Price on application.
