A place is provided in the window posts in the rear end and side door* pocketsto receive an air cylinder for the operation of sidedoors. The window sills are made of steel of special shapes, andthe bracings and panelings of the double posts are of INTERIOR VIEW OF BOSTON ELEVATED CAR There are eight copper gutters, one at each end over the hood,one over each side door and one over each side of each endplatform, strengthened by a steel wire running the full lengthof the top of the gutter.
