Organic solar cell research. Scientist finalising the production of an organic solar panel. Organic solar cells convert energy from sunlight into electricity, and are made entirely of organic materials. An inkjet printing mechanism has been developed to effectively print out these solar cells. This makes the technology easier and cheaper to manufacture and distribute than conventional inorganic solar panels.
