Ribcage of a female Ichthyosaurus sp. dating 200 million years ago from the Hettangian age containing at least four embryos. This fossil was discovered from the Bristol Channel, UK. This is an extremely rare discovery in England where only 5 skeletons with embryos are known out of thousands of remains discovered since the beginning of the 19th century. This specimen is by far the best preserved. Ichthyosaurs were marine dinosaurs that lived during the Jurassic, in what is now Europe. Collection Jean-Philippe et Francois-Xavier Blouet, paleontologists.
