The operation disclosed the fact thatthe entire stomach except the cardiac endwas heavily infiltrated. Where the peris-talsis had shown, during the roentgenexamination, way up in the cardiac end,there was some tissue through which ananterior gastro-enterostomy could be madewith great difficulty. No glandular en-largement was found and the surgeon andhis assistant diagnosed the case Wassermann was made and found 4 patient made an uneventful recover}and left the hospital
