In the fall of 1835 he located at Bronson village,near the present site of the union school building, and inAugust, 1837, removed to a location in Noble township,half a mile east of Hickory Corners. James Anderson, now a prominent marble dealer inColdwater, settled in Noble in the fldl of 1842, in thesoutheast corner of the township, where is now a smalllake bearing his name. Previous to locating here he hadbeen employed as teamster in Noble Co., Ind., and to himis accredited the honor of naming Noble township.
