GAANSBAAI, SOUTH AFRICA: GREAT white sharks have been caught launching themselves out of the water in pursuit of their prey as the largest predator in the world showcases its raw power. Thrilling pictures show the enormous beasts propel themselves high into the air as they strike. Others show the sharks partially breach the water’s surface as they attempt to snare their next meal with their massive jaws and razor sharp teeth. The incredible shots were taken by American student and freelance photographer Chris Perkins (25) from East Hampton in Connecticut while he was in Gansbaai, South Africa.
