By virtue of his office as Presi-dent of the Board of Aldermen, hebecame Acting Mayor in July. the resignation of Mayor served n that capacity until theelection of Mayor Cahill liy the CityCouncil. He was elected to theSchool Board in December, 1914,being re-elected for another two-yearterm in 19x6.
