Levant Mine, Cornwall. The Levant Mine operated from the late 18th century until its closure in 1930, mining tin and copper from beneath the sea bed. The mine's steam winding engine was preserved by a group of enthusiasts after the mine closed and today can be seen in action. The site is owned and managed by the National Trust.
