The plant is very vigorous, branching naturally, producing fruiting canes very freely and an abundance of large, luscious fruit. It " suck- ers" but slightly, the roots are strong and branching, penetrating deeply into the soil, a valuable character- istic in dry seasons and locations. The fruit is very large and handsome, intense black with a very high polish and without any hardcore, juicy,high-flavored; of so superior a quality that it is in a class by itself. Those accustomed to the old varieties would scarce- ly recognize it for a Blackberry. For table use, for canning or for culinary purposes it is equally desir- able. It literally melts in the mouth. Price, 20c. each, 6 for $, 12 for $, 25 for $, 50 for $,100 for $ ERIE. The canes are of ironclad hardiness, strongest growth, free from all diseases, and wonderfully pro- ductive. The berry is of the very largest size, of ex- cellent quality. (See cut.) 60c. per doz., $ per 100. Early Harvest. The berries are of large size, very uniform and of a bright glossy blackness.
