Here, in addition to my duties as nurse,my trade as a seamstress came into play, and Irepaired or made over hundreds of overcoats andblankets for the men. On the 14th of March, 1862, the regiment wasordered to Alexandria, and I was transferred to theSeminary Hospital, at Georgetown, D. C. Here Iremained nearly a year; then my health began tofail, and I received an honorable discharge.
