"New Gun with 33,000 Shots per Minute Invented by Levi W. Lombard". This machine gun, created by Lombard of Boston, Massachusetts, is capable of firing an impressive 33,000 shots per minute. The gun operates without a barrel and instead uses a spring-powered disk that rotates at high speed. It can be powered by a motor, gasoline, steam, or operated by hand. Ammunition is fed through a tube attachment. The gun was photographed in March 1918.
