A gathering storm over the distant basalt cliffs of the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa. The Drakensberg Mountains formed due to the combination of the Jurassic period large flood basalt during the break-up of the Gondwana Supercontinent and erosion from the later uplift of the African Continent.
