European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus), partially rolled up. The European hedgehog is commonly found in Eurasian woodland, farmland and suburban areas and feeds on slugs, earthworms and insects. When scared, it curls itself up into a tight ball to protect itself from predators using its sharp spines.
