Torikoe Matsuri Festival. Tokyo Japan. Anual festival of the Torikoe Jinja Shrine. At Torikoe Jinja Shrine, which has a history of more than 1,300 years, the “Torikoe Matsuri” which is held in June every year will be held on June 9 and 10. The highlight of the festival is the carrying of Mikoshi (portable shrine) of the main shrine, which is held on the 10th. This portable shrine is known as the heaviest one in Tokyo.
