THE WHITBY MUNICIPAL ORCHESTRA - Frank Gomez and his municipal Orchestra at Whitby Spa Pavilion , Yorkshire in 1924. The professional orchestra conducted by Grank Gomez was a popular attraction for local and seaside audiences. His music was even transmitted to the nation diect from Whitby, via the British Broadcasting Association. (BBC) Home Service ,outside broadcasts team. He was aslo a composer, writing "Climbing the Abbey Steps at Whitby". The photo is taken outside the doors of the Glass Pavilion ballroom, now converted and modernised.
