In 1 72 7 John Van Nuise bought afarm which had its front on Neilson Street,one line along Liberty Street and anotheralong New, running as far as the MileRun Brook. The farm house which hebuilt on what is now Neilson Street wasoccupied by the British Army in the Revo-lutionary War. On the corner of Church and Peace
