Australia South East Queensland Glass House Mountains Mount Coochin A group of mountains 7 of them being declared a National Park Discovered by Captain James Cook in 1770 He gave them this name as they resembled the glass furnaces of his native Yorkshire They are all volcanic plugs eroded in time in an otherwise flat landscape Mount Coochin is known as the split mountain
