The hair and beard arefull of the most beautiful workmanship carried into the minutestdetails, while the powerful bodily forms are rendered with an extra-ordinary refinement extending to the observation of the finer musclesin the feet and even to a vein in the left arm. The animation hewas said to have imparted to his statues {^animosa signa) is conspicuousin the bronze.
