Symptoms.—Pain in the neighborhood of and over the endof the bone is the most frequent manifestation of a deformedcoccyx. It is greatly increased when the patient lies upon ahard cot, sits on a hard chair, or rides in a street-car. Whenanterior displacement is present, constipation and defecationaggravate the condition. Suffering is greatest just beforestool, and is greatly relieved by it. When there is ulceration.
