Nambia: THESE ADORABLE images show a young elephant having the time of its life as it wildly played in the muddy image shows the baby elephant wading into the mud, curling up its trunk as it plays in the water as it coats itself in nature's sunscreen. African elephants can grow up to 11 feet tall and weigh up to seven tonnes. Their trunk contains up to 150,000 muscles which develop as the grow, the babies having little control over their trunks. These images were captured by wildlife photographer Antonio S. Chamorro (56) on Erindi Private Game Reserve in Nambia, using Nikon D4 and Nikon Z9 cameras. ?We were in Erindi Private Game Reserve, in Nambia. It was midday, so it was very hot,? said Antonio. ?Families of elephants commonly go to waterholes to get some freshness. They use water and mud to protect their skin from the sun and from insects. ?When we arrived at the waterhole there was a family of elephants in the water.
