The Liege based organization is also known for its production of bicycles, cars, trucks, military vehicles and motorcycles. Located in Herstal near Liege (Luik) the company produced in 1899 its fi rst automobile, a 2 cylinder, 796 cc capacity with a transverse engine, 2 forward and 1 reverse gear. Th e produc- tion line commenced in 1900 and stopped in 1938 due to the mass importation of US made cars. Like the Minerva from Antwerpen (Antwerp) the com- petition proved too much, the company continued motorcy- cle, truck production and arma- ments.
