Thishead has an ingenious releasing device and isattached to a long line of walrus hide. Whenthe head has been sunk in the skin of the whale,the shaft can be drawn back into the boat bymeans of its own line while the head is securedto the boat by a strong line that can be paid outor drawn in according to the circumstanc
