This is a real situation. Image not to be used in a defamatory context. Linear accelerator cancer treatment. Radiographers looking at screens in the control room of a linear accelerator whilst a patient is being treated for cancer. Medical linear accelerators are used to produce radiation that is used to treat cancers and other tumours. The radiation is aimed at the cancer or tumour in order to destroy it.
