Harrogate, UK. 10 July, 2012. Fun for Great Yorkshire show at Harrogate is the latest victim to the inclement weather, with heavy downpours leading to the closure of the annual 3 day event after just one day. The show, which normally attracts over 120,000 visitors, has never had to close because of the weather before. World Wars and the FMD epidemic of 2001 are the only closures to have hit it since it started in 1837.
