It is in marked contrast to thenormal architecture of the outer headof the tibia. This x-ray was studied by the pre-vious observers, who were still of theopinion that it could more easily beexplained by a low grade osteomyelitisor tuberculosis. In the lateral views of BONE TUMORS—BLOODGOOD the normal and diseased side, takenNovember 20, there is no evidence ofperiosteal bone formation between thetibia and fibula, but the cloudy defectof the upper end of the tibia is distincton the diseased side. Third x-rays, November 28, 1922:(Figs. 5 and 6). These pictures weretaken by Dr. Kahn in my office inBaltimore. The soft-part tumor seems. Figs. 5 and 6—(Pathol. No. 31698) — (B. T. 9)—Tig. 5, normal rlphtside. Fig-. 6, diseased left side. These z-rays were taken by Or. Kahn,November 28, 1922, eipht days after Flgrures 3 and 4. The periosteal soft-part tumor over the inner head of the tibia is distinctly larg-er. The perios-teal bone formation is about the same. The cloudy shadow of the sclerosln;sarcoma is perhaps a little larger. The unlnvolved bone to the outer sideis narrower in width.
