For every gallon of water drawn, a gallon of air (the vital element) is circulated through the water, from the bottom to the top. This agi- tates, ventilates and purifies the water, and forces a large surplus of oxygen from the air into the water, which is sufficient to consume all impurities or organic matter in the foulest well or cistern.
