Foreign Office facade by John Birnie Philip (1824 - 1875) The Foreign And Commonwealth Office in Whitehall was originally called The Colonial Office. It was built in 1861-1868 and its front facade has wall reliefs depicting Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia among others.
