Archaeological skeleton restoration. Restorer cleaning the skull of a 2000-year-old Gallic skeleton. This skeleton was found on the banks of the river Doubs, close to the city of Besancon, France. The body was covered by small wooden boards that have collapsed over time and adhered to the bones. To protect the relic from degradation, it has been soaked in a water-soluble resin, and dried by lyophilization to solidify it. Photographed in France.
