The 8th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, John Hagan, speaks at Recruit Training Command's chief petty officer (CPO) Pinning Ceremony. Hagan served as MCPON for nearly six years, serving under three Chiefs of Naval Operations, Admiral Frank Kelso, Admiral Mike Boorda and Admiral Jay L. Johnson. Fourty three Sailors were pinned to the rank of CPO during the ceremony. More than 40,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp.
