Finished, dressed, and out. Called at Mrs [Rebecca] Kidders, sat chatting apropos of the day. [Arthur] Mason called in. Out, through the glad frosty, snow covered streets to Canal. Looked in at Dobs [177 Canal St.]. Thence to Holts [168 Duane St.], for Mr [Henry] Hart. He not within. In the parlor &c. Mrs [Mary] Holt, [Samuel] Blood &c receiving [receiving] their New Year ?s calls. Back to home and coff
