Two Afghan Air Force A-29 Super Tucano maintainers download GBU-12s (Guided Bomb Unit) at Kabul Air Wing, Afghanistan, July 26, 2017. Recently, AAF A-29 maintenance leadership requested to take full responsibility for flight line maintenance operations from Train, Advise, Assist Command-Air advisors and contract maintenance. This initiative by the maintainers is another step closer to the AAF becoming a professional, capable and sustainable force.
