ANDORRA NURSERIES, RHODODENDRONS. Beautiful Rhododeudrons are right- ly considered the most valuable of all our hardj' decorative shrubs, aud no lawn or border can be really complete without them. During the dull mouths of winter, when we have so little to brighten our landscape, their glossy green foliage retains its color as well as in summer ; but when spring comes and their foliage is covered with exquisite clusters of white, purple, and scarlet flowers, each in I'fseJf a dainty bouquet, the effect is one not soon to be forgotten bj' any one loving the beautiful in nature. The finest aud the hardiest varieties are the Hybrids of Catawbiense, from which our stock is especiallj' selected. They will flourish in any good, loamy soil, dug to the depth of two ieet, and enriched with well- rotted maimre. Mulchiug is always advis- able, and in exposed locations the protec- tion of a few evergreen boughs, sufficient to keep ofi" the sun and wind in winter, is often advantageous. After the flowers have fallen, the seed pods should be carefully removed without disturbing the foliage or the jjrominent buds about the ends of the branches. We make a specialty of Rhododendrons, aud can ofiier them in any quantity. Single siiecimen plants, bushy, well furnished, and well budded, at$, $, and $ each.
