Carnations arc good, but are still on the short side, the blooms bringing .")(> and 75 cents per dozen at retail. Orchid receipts are larger, while snapdragons are scarce and clear quickly each day. Chrysanthomums rule the market, the large and ])ompon varieties finding equal favor. A largo number of potted mums are moved, as well as obconica ])rimu]as. *;•!• Various Notes. Out-of-town florists present at the funeral of J. A. Valentine, Octoljer 10, in addition to those mentioned in last week's obituary, were S. Knudsen, of Boulder, Colo.; Charles Fohn, of Colo- rado Springs, Colo.; P. O. Hansen, of Greeley, Colo.
