Wooburn Green, UK. 9th November, 2023. A beautiful huge poppy cypher has been painted on the village green in Wooburn Green, Buckinghamshire ahead of Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday this weekend with the words, Wooburn Green We Will Remember. Taking three hours to complete, the 10 foot poppy was designed and painted by local groundskeeper and contracts manager at Groundtel, Danny Perkins. The 1st Wooburn Scouts have also placed 146 memorial crosses next to the poppy in memory of local villagers who died during WWI and WWII. Credit: Maureen McLean/Alamy Live News
