SAN DIEGO (Sept. 14, 2018) Chief Machinist’s Mate Nicholas Ferro is capped by Chief Legalman Glencora Thompson during a chief pinning ceremony on the flight deck of amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). The ceremony was the culmination of six weeks of training indoctrination during Sailor 360, phase II. Boxer is pierside in its homeport for contractor maintenance availability.
