An officer's sabre,dated "1790",Iron hilt,with a knuckle-bow,three side bars,and a circular,separately affixed guard. Leather-covered grip with wire winding. Single edged blade(length cm)with fullers on both sides,etched decoration with the inscription "Vivat Rex Polonia" and the Polish heraldic eagle with a somewhat blurred date "1790". Steel scabbard with two suspension rings. Total length cm. Rare Polish sabre from the last years of the reign of King Stanislaus II Poniatowski(1764 - 1795).
