Some of the originalcourses of stone in Solomons Temple, and a few tombs which 52 ART OP WESTEiRN ASIA 63 belong to late Jewish or Roman times, afford very littlebasis for restorations of Jewish buildings. The descriptionof Solomons Temple in the Bible reminds us of Egyptiantemples; but, for the present at least, the student of art can. TOMB AT AMRITH (RESTORED).
