While numerous efforts have been made to produce gardenias for the San Francisco market, the trade has until recently depended on the output of one house; but the honor of being second to succeed in this line of work has now been won by Domoto Bros., the Japa- nese growers and wholesale florists, who for the last few weeks have been bringing in nice gardenias in commer- cial quantities, and expect to have a good cut from now on.
